Long has been ye time since men withdrew from arms,
long has been day when we live for each day,
catastrophes speak for themselves,
the voices of the dead,
people in lands dying for each ounce of bread,
long has been the day when our home meant shelter,
long enough has it been since families
were built,
societies have replaced camps,
 
workmanship replaced gunmanship,
sympathy replaced enemity,
can this be the world of god may i ask you,
can quarellsome brothers make one home?
home is palace of bliss and joy,
where as merrily as one lives as merrily as one dies,
cosier than heaven,
secure than the sky,
 
this is the place which fills one with life,

why not protect our habitat,
why not save nature from complete dismal,
isn't it our duty as to return favours,
for the motherly love it has shown,
why not help ourselves,
and rise to a new dawn.
